Maynilad Alabang Water Reclamation Facilities likely pertain to wastewater treatment and reclamation infrastructure operated by Maynilad Water Services, Inc. in the Alabang area of the Philippines. These facilities are crucial for treating wastewater to remove pollutants and contaminants, ensuring that the treated water meets regulatory standards before being discharged or reused.

Typically, such facilities use various processes like biological treatment, filtration, and disinfection to ensure the water is safe for environmental release or for other beneficial uses like irrigation or industrial processes.

The project has four identical Anoxic Tanks and each tank will be installed with 1 submersible pump which will be connected with pipework with 4 nozzle openings to recirculate the effluent water within the tank to achieve the proper mixing.

Mechartes conducted a thorough CFD analysis to validate flow profiles and mixing efficiency in four identical Anoxic Tanks at the Maynilad Alabang Water Reclamation Facilities. The study utilized steady-state multiphase flow analysis to assess the impact of submersible pumps with nozzle openings on mixing performance in two different tank orientations. Factors such as incoming flow rates from the primary clarifier, return activated sludge, and internal recirculation lines were analyzed to determine velocity and effluent concentration distribution, ensuring uniform mixing aligned with client specifications. Based on the study results, Mechartes provided recommendations to optimize design objectives, including additional studies if needed to explore alternative options.
